Greetings to you all,
It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the kickoff of our 2025 Fall Rally. Many years have passed since we last put on a Fall Rally, and we expect this one to be the most exciting and meaningful one that we’ve had in decades. “Why” you ask?
In 2003 God blessed our church with the vision and ability to build an addition onto the back of our church. Our former pastor, Rev. Willie S. Darby, received this vision and worked diligently to make it a reality. While we were all enthusiastic at the time of the building of the 5300 square foot addition, we could not comprehend at the time the numerous ways in which this additional space would be a blessing to our church and the Granville County community. This year, under the leadership of our current pastor, Rev. Sandy Smith, we have set a goal to raise enough funds through our Fall Rally to pay off our church mortgage. This is an important goal to our leadership. Since the Covid-19 pandemic we have found our mortgage payments are a burden that distracts from our ability to serve our community as we desire. Even with this burden, we have not stopped serving, as we know that Christ is our strength; he has not left us nor forsaken us. We believe, however, that our service to the community will be more effective once we are no longer burdened with mortgage payments.
We are asking for your help in this great effort. We are prayerful that you will find it in your heart to donate to our 2025 Fall Rally. While any gift is appreciated, we are asking those who are capable to donate gifts ranging from $100 to $1,000. Your gift will be an essential part of our kickoff efforts for the Fall Rally and will set the tone for the remainder of the event. To help get things started in a positive light, we are hopeful that the funds be received by May 31st.
If you choose to mail us a donation, we ask that you return the enclosed form with your gift. Because we have several teams working on the Fall Rally, you will see a team name that represents the team responsible for sending you this letter.
